Re: From Firetop to Blacksand

In Titan it says that the Pagan Plains stretch for many many days and that the terrain is mostly slow going. You’d probably go from Foretop Mountain to Fang then take the road to Stonebridge and then continue south to the Catfish River before following that to Blacksand. I wouldn’t take the distance...

Re: What's Next on the Horizon for AFF2e?

Been lurking here for quite a while poking around here and there (SkinnyOrc, I love your enhancement PDF's!) Thanks for the encouragement, reminds me to get some other stuff finished! :) Going by the quality of what you’ve made up to now take it as a given that we’ll always be happy to see more!

Very nice! For something in particular? What did you use to make it?
It is for a campaign I am planning. I used a software called Wonderdraft, which is very easy to use and well recommended!
I’ll check it out, thanks for the tip!

I didn't manage to master it myself, but some people made awesome maps using just the free version of Inkarnate... maybe it can help you too https://inkarnate.com
I second this, it’s easy to use too.

Some interesting info on the medieval world

I recently found these and thought they might be of interest to you all. Firstly an overview of guilds and professions in cities: http://www.risusiverse.com/home/settings/risus-mediaevalis Secondly medieval demographics made easy which covers a lot of questions which I’ve been asking myself. https:/...

Re: Definition of "Wilderness" for Monsters

Happy to see another solo player! I’ve been using a similar definition for some time. On top I like to have an idea of how populated it is around the towns and cities. Apparently during the Middle Ages only 5% of the population lived in urban locations. I don’t want my Titan to be too populated so I...

Re: Money, a new approach

Also usually only the ruler would be minting coins, and everywhere was at least nominally part of the domain of a ruler. Anywhere so remote there was no one who'd get upset at them doing their own coinage probably couldn't manage it technically. So even if in your world copper is rarer and more val...

Re: Money, a new approach

I don’t know if I would go quite so far in approaching reality but it’s a fascinating route to go down. For the encumbrance I think it’s not just a question of weight but also ease of carrying. I like the approach of 100 coins = 1 point of encumbrance but don’t question your calculations. Now for th...

Re: Multiple layers of armour

Interesting thoughts! With a skill impact you need to take into account the training of the person. SkinnyOrc has had some suggestions on Armour and skill ratings. I wouldn’t simply add them together, if you are trained to wear several layers and in good shape they won’t cause an issue in a fight. B...
