Thanks!
Yeah, I wanted to up the deadliness - particularly with the falling damage as I explain at the start, and to take into account wt's written for parties rather than a solo adventurer. The dungeon has to earn its reputation!

I might look at Trial of Champions next, but need a breather first!

Deathtrap Dungeon conversion

I've been working on a AFF2e conversion of Deathtrap Dungeon for a while on and off, and finally managed to finish it off this morning. It's a barebones set of notes for GMing the dungeon, rather than a full write up - not just for copyright issues, but also as most will have a copy of the gamebook ...

Grittiness and resource management

I've a few questions stemming from me trying to capture a certain feel with the AFF2e rules (which I love), but in a more gritty context as in classic D&D How are people finding AFF 2e playing out in terms of grittiness? I know there's a few posts already about lethality and one hit kills against NP...

Bit late to this party but what about

If an opponent struck by PC is suprised, and that current STAMINA is less than the PC's base SKILL, the strike is an assassination - instant kill.

Easy dropping of goblin guards - and scales with increased XP

I dont have the books with me right now but I'm not sure it's still balanced by whether the components are destroyed during the casting or not either. I'm fine with the DIrector balancing things by access to the components, but I guess I was expecting more than 1 point I'd stamina cost to cast the h...

Sorcery spells

Loving this revision of the classic - great job Have one major question tho, and that's on the Sorcery spells - there seem to be a lot that at rank 1, and I'm guessing there should have been more of a spread on these. For example GOB and YOB are both listed as (1) - when the giant is way more powerf...
