Re: What's Next on the Horizon for AFF2e?
Great news! I also offer my editorial services. Will there be references as to whence the magic items have been extracted from the gamebook series?

Re: My homebrew - Weird Spells
FOG: -6 to physical activities (incl. melee, hand-to-hand). A new spell should have something to make it functionally different, or at least add to what is BtB/RAW. As for a quick-n-dirty morale rule: All non-heroes drop whatever is held or carried, turn and rout as far as possible from the wailing ...

Re: My homebrew - Weird Spells
The Wailing Wall (Fog) [3] The fog created by this spell appears to have ghostly faces floating in it, silently crying out. Very cinematic kind of spell! What effect does it have mechanically in the game? Morale effect? An actually audible wailing, moaning, keening would be far better than a silent...

Re: what do you give Luck for?
Dedicating a generous offering to the local temple, church, etc. would surely cause the Powers That Be to bestow a point or two of LUCK on the mortal hero.

Re: Does anyone use AFF for other settings?
I'm really interested in using AFF2e for a horror/Lovecraftian kind of setting. Perhaps there are mechanics like FEAR ( House of Hell ) which can be modified as a SANITY stat (roll = or < to keep Sanity); very scary events or encounters whittle away at the stat. It'd also be really interesting as i...

Re: Does anyone use AFF for other settings?
Nothing against Titan, but the rules are so simple that they can be used with a homebrew campaign with little effort. I'm really interested in using AFF2e for a horror/Lovecraftian kind of setting. WANT!
How's about one of Darkwood Forest--Yaztromo's Tower--Stonebridge, etc.?
A 3D version of the world map of Titan, perhaps? I'd put money down for that, if the detailing is finely done!

This is the first time I've heard of Forbidden Gateway. Shame that there are few copies, and they go for obscene amounts of cash.

re: crits
Instead of 6-6 (2.78%), why not any double (16.67%) as a "magic" effect or skill-based reward for more experienced PCs?

Re: Out of the pit 3
Graham,
I wrote you an email asking if we could cut a deal with a discount for the softcover of the Return to the Pit, since I previously purchased the PDF of the same, but I guess the email was lost in the shuffle. Is this something negotiable?

Re: AFF Fanzine (AFFFZ?)
we might be able to include fan adaptations of gamebook adventures to multiplayer AFF adventures - though I think we might want to get approval from the Powers That Be for such adaptations, even if they are 100% unofficial and not-for-profit. This would be ace. Adapting the settings of the gamebook...
