Re: Stellar Adventures

Anyone know what got updated in the Starship Catalog PDF? I just saw that it has a new version for download. I fixed a couple of typos and added the standard prices into the form fields. I also added an "Interior" version that has layers that can be turned off to make it printer friendly. Was the S...

Re: Stellar Adventures Errata Thread

Creating a scientist character from a university world for an adventure set almost exclusively on war-torn planet where only soldiers are needed might not work so well! Re: New Paper minis

All I see is a multi-armed simian. It would be nice to see a few more of the artworks to judge the quality. If they're all hand-drawn, and not those creepy CGI minis, that would be preferable.

Re: movement rules

The lack of wargaming-derived rules (as movement) is one of the shortcomings of AFF2e, IMO. One option is to borrow infos from the Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Masters Guide (TSR, 1979), p. 58. (I hate the fact this forum does not allow BBcode for tables! Argh!! ) MOVEMENT AFOOT IN MIlES/DAY ...

Re: Whips

I was looking through the other books I didn't look in and found this: 1.) In Beyond the Pit the Hellfire Spirit has a Flaming Whip (which just says damage as Morning Star) 2.) In Beyond the Pit in the Ogre entry For the Half-Ogre it has some whip rules, but these appear to be for nine tailed whips...

Re: Whips

My modest proposal: THE WHIP (a.k.a BULLWHIP) A whip can be employed to either ENWRAP or HIT the target. One of these two options must be announced by the player before any rolls or referee adjudications. To enwrap: (armour damage reduction does not apply) To enwrap, the range to target must be a fe...

Re: Increasing Weapon Special Skill variety

Just a couple of thoughts: The thrown weapon damage seems really low, maybe that was on purpose to steer play in certain ways etc, but it still seems low. I agree. As a knife-thrower, I know that the lack of respect for thrown weapons in RPGs is commonplace. IMC, I expand the critical damage range ...

Re: Lore skills

May be a boring name but how about ancient lore (written) I suppose it could even be a sub skill similar to D&D 3.5 Bardic Lore . Don't know if this helps? Paleography, and/or Epigraphy. Linguist Sp. Sk. can be for currently-spoken languages, while Paleographer or Epigrapher could be reserved...

Yes, if true, it is good news.
My current collection of Green Spines ends with #45. The higher-numbered ones have proven beastly difficult to find. If only they would be available in North America, too. :)

That's an outstanding idea! And the Carson of Venus series, and the Pellucidar series as well! ERB + AFF2e would be a match made in heaven, like chocolate and peanut butter. 8)

A retooled, greatly-simplified version of Space Quest. That may actually be a worthwhile pursuit.
