Re: Advanced Fighting Fantasy Announcement

Btw on the subject of releasing more books than you intended, I would LOOOVE it so much if you either released a compilation book of adventures/modules suited for AFF, or if you wrote a book on how to make them. But for now I'm going to make a vid about Fighting Fantazine for my channel. :)

Re: AFF on YouTube

Well, AFF and general gaming.... I have just been watching our own Mountainpeak11 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qg1bpPdG1c&list=UU7WDIxsARsN_U2WsprT3X3Q&index=5 Very much recommended! TEEHEEHEHEHEEEE! I wondered if (when) you'd notice that! Yeah there's loads of people in the RPG community ...

Re: Ambidextrous Talent fighting - details?

one should also restrict the Ambidextrous talent to wielding weapons of the size of a short sword or smaller. But then how would I play a dual scimitar wielding dark elf ranger? :wink: I kinda like this, and it has historical merit. A secondary weapon was used mainly for deflection, or when opponen...

Re: d6 -> d12 suggestion

Nice ideas! One thing I also just thought of is with Fumbles, you get them by rolling Double 1, ie 2, and a Critical Hit by rolling a Double 6, ie 12. So on a d12 where obviously you can just roll a 1, to balance it out you could make 1-2 on a d12 a Critical Failure (Fumble), and a 11-12 on a d12 a ...

Ambidextrous Talent fighting - details?

There aren't really any details for fighting with both hands if a player chooses Ambidextrous for their talent (apart from the fact that they can obviously use two weapons...). We found that if you just roll once for attack strength and then 2d6 for damage then it's overpowered. So we adapted a rule...

d6 -> d12 suggestion

So this hit me a few days ago when I was playing the AFF version of Deathtrap Dungeon with people. We noticed that when rolling 2d6 the dice would very often come up on 3 and 4s, I mean it's more likely probability-wise... So we had the idea to start rolling d12s instead of 2d6 which worked out way ...

As an aside any news on the (leather) Blacksand books from the indiegogo project?

Re: AFF Companion - Status

they'd rather focus on The One Ring (great RPG) and Doctor Who (not-so-great) RPG... Both are neat games...that sit in my closet. Now AFF gets PLAYED ! You hear that C7? The One Ring? Dr Who? In closet. AFF? At the game table! Btw I meant no offence... I'm sure Doctor Who is a great system but I do...

Re: HEROES COMPANION BOOKS

I have just been speaking to C7, and partly due to delays from the new printer and partly due to the cataclysm inflicted on their webstore by their web hosting company, it still may be a few weeks till we get the books. So, i am going to get a short print run done now so that people can get the boo...

Re: AFF Companion - Status

I am literally going mental from waiting. It was meant to be released nearly a week ago and there's nothing. I feel like a spoilt child not getting their way, just ngphm. D: Imagine how frustrated i am! Apparently Cubicle 7 should have their copies in about a week, and should start shipping out alm...
