Very impressed indeed to see Maelstrom return to print. I acquired my copy soon after release (sooooo many years ago!) and have treasured it, not only for the excellent guide to herbs, but because of the pleasing simplicity of the whole system and setting. Maelstrom provides the possibility for adventure without needing adventurers, a game offering a window on the past with a touch of magic and mysticism thrown in for good measure. The Maelstrom magic system provides incredible flexibility without too much insanity. And, if you feel the urge, the whole thing can drift as far from reality as you care to take.

I look forward to what lies beyond the Maelstrom reprint and hope I can get involved in the future of this excellent system!

This thread:

announces the release of the game.

I also bought the game when it was first released and have many happy memories of it.

Kepe an eye on the forums for news of the companion, minis and freebies etc.
